AMST 180: American Studies Seminar/ Professor Cheng / Spring 2024

Your Assignment and this guide

Welcome to the course guide for AMST 180 American Studies Seminar!

This is the place to start to find primary database and secondary sources for your review essay and presentations. It also includes information on search strategies, Library tutorials, and writing and citing (including how to get started with Zotero, a citation manager). For further resource recommendations, please delve further into other research guides that match your topic.

Please remember that I and other librarians are here to help you. Don't hesitate to contact me or make an appointment.

Library Search (below) is a good place to find both primary and secondary materials.  Using the advanced search function allows you to do more complex searching to help you hone in on resources related to your topic.  Academic Search Premier is also a good place to begin for almost any subject, especially if you need more current sources.
