At Fireside Writing you’ll enjoy a virtual fireplace and calming music as you study quietly and write, and our librarians will be on hand to offer drop-in reference support.

Quiet Study

During finals season, we're dedicating this event space for quiet study, meditation, and prayer when not being used for other Library programming (listed below).

  • Wednesday, December 6th: Fireside Writing (7-9 PM) 
  • Thursday, December 7th: Stop & Breathe (2-2:30 & 4:30-5 PM)
  • Friday, December 8th: Stop & Breathe (2-2:30 & 4:30-5 PM)
  • Sunday, December 10th: Pizza Night (8-9:30 PM) 
  • Monday, December 11th: Closed for a class (8AM-12PM)

When you are ready to start working on your final projects, it helps to have all your tasks organized in on place. Experiment with these free productivity apps that can provide some organizational support during this stressful time!

  • Forest: This app provides a incentive to stay focused, by planting a tree when you succeed at staying on task. 
  • Notion: Utilize a project management app to keep track of your assignments and maintain a work life balance. 
  • Todoist: Acts as a streamlined virtual list, that can help break up daunting end of the semester projects into manageable microtasks. 
  • Evernote: Access your notes for class across multiple devices, this app also supports images and drawings.
