Logging in to the Library's Computer and WiFi Network: Connecting to Library's WiFi Network

Wireless Network Access

There are four Claremont University Consortium wireless networks:

  • Claremont WPA: an encrypted network accessible only to students, faculty, and staff of the Claremont Colleges using their Sakai or Canvas login credentials. Claremont WPA is the preferred network and should be used whenever possible because it is encrypted and therefore more secure.

  • Claremont: an unencrypted network accessible only to students, faculty, and staff of the Claremont College using their Sakai login credentials. Users should only connect to this network if they are unable to connect to Claremont WPA.

  • CUC-GUEST: a network set up for special guests of the Claremont Colleges. The following users can gain access to this network by requesting the password at the Services Desk:
    • Students, faculty, and staff of the Claremont School of Theology

    • Visiting Scholars; Alumni of the Claremont Colleges

    • Spouse or Child (16-22) of current Claremont Colleges Faculty or Staff

    • Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Gardens staff

    • Retired Claremont Colleges staff with retired staff code on Claremont Colleges library card

  • ‚ÄčCUC-CLSRM: a network designated specifically for use with the study room projectors. Users should not connect to this network for other purposes.
