Biographical Snapshot

I am a big-picture, strategic-planning librarian who loves to explore new ways to integrate information, digital, and media literacies into curricula. After graduating with a BA in Women's Studies and Sociology from the University of Michigan, I dabbled in careers of research and scholarship, social work, and labor organizing. After finally realizing that librarianship was a perfect intersection of all of my interests, I went to the University of Texas at Austin to pursue my master's in information science. My current praxis focuses on critical, emancipatory information literacy, libraries as workplaces, and reflective teaching.
