An important part of researching your topic is generating important concepts to look for information on, or keywords.
We will be using this handout in class to brainstorm keywords that will be useful for finding information on your topic. Write out either your research question or the project you are interested in and any keywords you can brainstorm from your project. Using WordViz or the OED (below), come up with some synonyms for these terms.
Once you're finished with that, trade with the person next to you to see if you can come up with different terms!
Thinking through your search before you begin will help you be more effective overall. Think about the questions below to help yourself devise the most useful study strategy to you.
