The Digital Tool Shed is located in the Honnold Mudd library, on the second floor of the Mudd side of the building, below the stacked shelving. The Tool Shed is accessible during library hours when not in use by a class or for an event. For more information see the Digital Tool Shed guide.
Who can access the Tool Shed?
All current Claremont Colleges Faculty, Students and Staff can access the Digital Tool Shed during library hours. Simply swipe your college ID to enter the room, when it is not in use by a class or for an event.
How many stations are available and what software?
There are seven PC laptops available for use in the Tool Shed. Each laptop is configured for GIS & GPS. The following software is installed:
ArcGIS 10.4 & Extensions
Google Earth Professional
Visual Studio 2012
Do I need a login?
There is no login. You cannot log into your campus account. If the laptop asks for a login, click "switch user".
Please make a folder in the C:\student and save your work in the same folder. We recommend you use DropBox to transfer your files.
There is no printing capability in the Tool Shed. You can print from the stations outside the lab.

Hahn (room 204) Room 204 contains a large classroom with approximately 24 PCs.
Geology (Contact Prof Eric Grosfils) The Geology computer classroom lab is located in Edmunds, room 248 and contains approximately 14 windows-based units.
