Using Windows 7 Ease of Access Features: High Contrast Mode

About High Contrast Mode

The High-Contrast screen mode are a set of color scheme designed to make it easier for people with low vision to read.

When this mode is actvated the computer color scheme will switch to a simple scheme involving a black bacground with white text.

Starting High Contrast Mode

1. To start the High Contrast mode, you need to press the left Alt key, the left Shift key, and the Print Screen key.

 

 

2. Once these keys are pressed, a message box will appear.  The message box will ask you if you are sure you want to start High Contrast mode, simply click on the yes button.

 

 

3. After clicking on yes, the High Contrast mode should start.


4. To exit High Conrast mode, press the left Alt key, the left Shift key, and the Print Screen key again.

Exiting High Contrast Mode

1. To end the High Contrast mode, you need to press the left Alt key, the left Shift key, and the Print Screen key.

 

2. Once these keys have been pressed the display should return to its normal operating mode.
