Adding Content Boxes

Adding content boxes to a page:

  1. Click on Add new Box
  2. At this point you can either create a new box or reuse an existing box (see box at right for instructions)
  3. Enter a title for the box. (Use title case in box names.)
  4. Select a location for the box from the Position drop-down menu
  5. Select a box type from the box type menu.
  6. Click Create Box.

Keep Box Titles Short

The title bar at the top of a box will not expand, so it is important not to make your box titles too long.

Reusing & Reordering Boxes

Reusing content boxes:

You can reuse boxes from your own, or others' guides. You can reuse boxes from published, unpublished, or private guides.

  • Link to another box in the system: This is the default option. The box will show on your guide but you will not be able to make any changes to it. It will, however, change if changes are made to the original.
  • Copy another box from the system: To make a copy of a box instead of linking, check the box toward the bottom of the  Reuse Existing Box menu.

Reordering content boxes:

  1. Click on Add/Edit Pages on the yellow command bar.
  2. Select Reorder Boxes on This Page.
  3. Drag and drop the boxes you want to move to the desired locations.
  4. Click on Update Box Order
